2018 Touriga Nacional Port

"Touriga Nacional grapes are hard to come by in the state, and this fortified port-style is one of those rarer single-varietal versions worth hunting down. Smooth as fine-crushed velvet, the palate overflows with blackberry compote, steeped black currant, blueberry and cocoa powder notes encircled by gorgeous graphite expressions held in place by firm-footed tannins and penuche details on the extended finish." 96 Points Tasting Room Magazine

2021 Muret-Gaston Jean

"Light straw in the glass with apricot, peach, and bosc pear on the nose with hints of honey and even lime. The palate is sweet, but closer to off-dry than cloying and the ample acidity is a brilliant counter-balance."

Muret-Gaston 2021 Jean
An SB blend, the 2021 Jean has a straw wine essence with notes of golden raisin, baked golden delicious apples, and candied lemon. The wine is brilliantly balanced and fresh with a sweet core of honey, citrus, and poached apples. Full-bodied and not overly sweet, this is excellently layered and ready for dessert. 2022 Muret-Gaston Blanc

Clean and freshwith aromas of wildflower honey, white flowers and orange blossoms followed by flavors of lemon, pear and honeysuckle with a saline minerality.

Muret-Gaston 2022 Blanc
A beautiful nose with peachy notes, compounded by petrichor and fresh notes of marzipan, lemon drop, and beeswax, defines the 2022 Blanc. The nose seems spicy and softly leesy. Light to medium-bodied, the wine shows amazing texture and weight with a leesy phenolic bitterness and surprising mineral tension. The wine is acid-driven with a succulent finish that brings me back for another sip. Very pleasurable and delightful, it has me craving hard cheeses.

2022 Muret-Gaston Grenache

"Whoa. Medium-ruby and translucent, this wine is gorgeous from the first pour with a bushel of red, blue, and black berry fruit, a touch of spice, fresh cut roses, and the slightest hint of anise on the nose. The palate is even better, amazingly, with wave after wave of juicy fruit, a smidge of earth, spice, and plenty of lip-smacking tartness."

Muret-Gaston 2022 Grenache
Pure, ripe, fresh, and complexly layered, the 2022 Grenache is a stunning expression. The wine is ripe with a soft frame and a juicy core of fruit. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has notes of wild strawberry and turned earth with a kiss of mineral tension and lingering spicy tannins. Very food-friendly.

2022 Muret-Gaston Rouge

"Medium to dark in color in the glass with oodles of red and black fruit: raspberry, blackberry, plum, cassis, and I could go on. As one would expect with a majority-Syrah blend, there is plenty of spice, too, and even a touch of anise. The palate is fruity, layered, and a bit spicy with plenty of tartness and loads of intrigue and character, with a touch of mocha on an incredibly long finish."

Muret-Gaston 2022 Rouge
Presenting high-toned red fruit with a sincere expression that quietly grows on me, the 2022 Rouge is a captivating wine. The wine is subtly spiced and floral, with roasted black raspberry and dark cherry, a kiss of peppercorn and a wild-berry essence that wafts from the nose, with hints of potpourri and turned earth. Medium-bodied, the wine is beautifully balanced with succulent acidity and fine-grained tannins that prove bigger isn’t better—better is better. It ends with a delightfully light, lingering, subtly spiced finish that is so elegant I can’t help but want to enjoy another glass. Bravo!

2024 MG Picpoul

"This Picpoul, from the famed Boushey Vineyard, is fairly light in color with some tree fruit (pear and ripe peach), beeswax, and touches of white flower and white pepper on the nose. The palate is rich, at least for a Picpoul in my experience, with balanced fruit and tartness up front, with an interesting spice, that white pepper, in the background on the mid-palate. The finish is fruity, tart, and lengthy."
